Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all electrical, solar, renewable energy, and related services provided by Soltek Electric Ltd (“Soltek Electric Ltd”, “Soltek”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By requesting, approving, or allowing Soltek Electric Ltd to perform any work, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Scope of Work

All work will be performed in accordance with the written estimate, proposal, service order, or contract provided by Soltek Electric Ltd. Any work outside the agreed scope constitutes a change order and may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Estimates are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Prices may change due to material costs, availability, or site conditions. Estimates do not include permits, inspection fees, utility fees, or taxes unless stated.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are net 7 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed. A deposits of 25% is required when the contract is signed (The 25% down-payment are to insure partial cost of material orders and office work are covered and are non Refundable unless otherwise agreed upon in writing), the second payment of 65% is due the day the work is beginning and the last 10% are due when the system is commissioned. Late payments may be charged interest at 2% per month (24% annually) or the maximum allowed under the Interest Act (Canada). Soltek Electric Ltd. may suspend work for non-payment and reserves the right to reclaim materials and tools from the job-site.

5. Permits and Inspections

Where required, Soltek Electric Ltd. will obtain electrical permits unless agreed otherwise. All work is subject to inspection by the Authority having Jurisdiction, including Technical Safety BC, municipalities and other governing institutions.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client must provide safe access to the site, disclose hazards, secure pets and property, and ensure existing systems are safe unless disclosed otherwise.

7. Compliance With Laws

All work will comply with the BC Electrical Code, Safety Standards Act, municipal bylaws, and WorkSafeBC requirements. And will be up to current standards at the time of installation, planning or permitting depending on the situation and time frame of the contract.

8. Warranties

Soltek Electric Ltd warrants workmanship for one (1) year from completion unless stated otherwise. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied equipment but may be subject to installation and/or service charges after the 1th year of Soltek Electric Ltd. workmanship warranty period.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soltek Electric Ltd’s liability is limited to the value of services provided and work conducted. Soltek Electric Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. And Soltek Electric Ltd is not to be held liable for any damages, changes,  and/or modifications to Soltek Electric Ltd’s work / installation by the owner or other businesses or companies hired by the owner.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada.

11. Acceptance

By authorizing Soltek Electric Ltd to perform work, the Client acknowledges agreement with these Terms and Conditions.
